This specimen was part of lot 1279 in Jean Elsen sale 165 (Brussels, June 2026), where it sold for €120 (about US$165 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"AUTRICHE, Ferdinand Ier (1835-1848), lot de 8 p.: 20 Kreuzer, 1836 A, 1848 A (Superbe); 10 Kreuzer, 1836 A, 1838 C; 5 Kreuzer, 1836 A, 1837 A; 3 Kreuzer, 1836 A, 1837 A. Beau à Très Beau. (empire of Austria, Ferdinand I, 1835-48, lot of eight pieces, including twenty, ten, five and three kreuzer. Fine - Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1837-48 at Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B), Prague (C), Karlsburg (E) and Milan (M). The 1848-A is a common date. One convention thaler was 120 kreuzer.
