This specimen was lot 22260 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 2 Kreuzer, 1848-A. Franz Joseph I. PCGS MS-65 Brown Gold Shield. Sharply struck with glossy surfaces and considerable mint red." It was also lot 22260 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $204. Altho this is a one year type, it is common. Francis Joseph took the throne in 1848, replacing his epileptic uncle, Ferdinand.
