This specimen was lot 33501 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $750. The catalog description[1] noted, "China: People's Republic platinum Proof Panda 10 Yuan (1/10 oz) 1993 PR69 Deep Cameo PCGS." Altho the regime has steadily issued panda coins in silver and gold since 1983, platinum issues are sporadic. This denomination was issued in platinum in 1990 and 1993-97.

Recorded mintage: 2,500.

Specification: 3.11 g, 0.999 fine platinum, 0.100 troy oz APW.
