This specimen was struck at the Zacatecas mint in 1844, one of a type struck there 1826-69. Assayer OM is listed for 1831-56. We haven't seen other specimens of this date to note whether the missing "S" in the mintmark is typical.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.69 g, 0.903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
