Künker sale 353, lot 3197

This specimen was lot 3197 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €20 (about US$28 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. 3 Pfennig 1703, CS, Berlin. Münzmeister Christoph Stricker. Fast sehr schön. Erworben am 4.7.2000 von Manfred Olding, Osnabrück. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, three pfennig of 1703, Berlin mint. about very fine.)"

This type was struck at Berlin in 1703 and 1706 along with one, two, four and six pfennig.

Recorded mintage: 2,924,000 including KM 34 (struck at Magdeburg).

Specification: 0.69 g, 0.125 fine silver, 15 mm diameter, this specimen 0.66 g.
