Künker sale 353, lot 3198

This specimen was lot 3198 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €150 (about US$209 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. 2 Pfennig 1703, CS, Berlin. Münzmeister Christoph Stricker. R Zaponiert, fast sehr schön. Erworben am 12.1.1984 von Fritz Rudolf Künker, Osnabrück. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, about very fine.)"

This type was struck at Berlin in 1703 along with one, three, four and six pfennig.

Recorded mintage: 1,590,000 including KM 32 (struck at Magdeburg).

Specification: 0.44 g, 0.125 fine silver, 13 mm diameter, this specimen 0.40 g.
