Künker sale 353, lot 3196

This specimen was lot 3196 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €240 (about US$334 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. 4 Pfennig 1703, CS, Berlin. Münzmeister Christoph Stricker. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 20, Dortmund 2002, Nr. 326. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, four pfennig of 1703, Berlin mint. very fine.)"

This type was struck at Berlin in 1703 along with one, two, three and six pfennig.

Recorded mintage: 2,419,200 including KM 36 and KM 37 (both struck at Magdeburg).

Specification: 0.93 g, 0.125 fine silver, 16 mm diameter, this specimen 0.80 g.
