from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10300

This specimen was lot 10300 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €840 (about US$876). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 4 Skilling, 1693. Gluckstadt Mint. Christian V. NGC AU-58. Nice condition for type. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck in Gluckstadt 1693-94. Christian V was king of Denmark and duke of Schleswig-Holstein. Two mark was half a krone or one-third speciedaler.

Specification: 1.22 g, 0.347 fine silver, 21 mm diameter.
