CNG Triton XXVIII, lot 6314

This specimen was lot 6314 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $551.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Christian V. 1670-1699. AR Krone. København (Copenhagen) mint. Dated 1694. Cuirassed bust right / Crown. KM. Toned with hints of luster. Good VF. From the Drewry Family Collection." This type is noted for 1693-99 along with Dav-3648A and Dav-3648C. It is scarce. Many would not class this as a crown, being too small, but it has a Davenport number so we will include it.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 17.99 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 35 mm diameter, 17.97 g, 12 h axis.
