The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Mexico|MEXICO]]. Group of 2 Reales (10 Pieces), 1835-43. Guanajuato Mint. Grade Range: FINE to VERY FINE. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." Shown is an 1836-G<sup>O</sup> PJ two reales, one of a type struck at the Guanajuato mint 1825-68. Assayer PJ is recorded at this mint for the years 1834-42. Other mints include [[Mexico 1836-Zs OM 2 reales|Zacatecas]], [[Mexico 1836-Mo MF 2 reales|Mexico City]], Alamos, Hermosillo, Guanajuato, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Durango, [[Mexico 1837-Ga JG 2 reales|Guadalajara]], Estado de Mexico, Real de Catorce and Guadalupe y Calvo. Only Oaxaca did not strike this type. This type, legal tender in the pre Civil War United States for a quarter, is common except in uncirculated. This is a common date of a common mint.
