This specimen was lot 30735 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $646.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 4 Escudos, 1836-GoPJ. NGC EF-45." Long[2] notes this as a scarce date. This date is distinct for its horizontal lines on the left wing of the eagle.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.875 fine gold, .381 troy oz AGW.
