This specimen was struck at the Durango mint in 1836. This mint struck silver and gold coins 1812-95 and one reals are known for 1832-37, 1841-64. This specimen appears to be the 1836/4 overdate. The issues of Durango are not catalogued as rare but do not turn up often, unlike the eight reales.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, .099 troy oz ASW.
