This specimen was lot 6233 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $399.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 100 Yuan, 1990. Olympic Series. PCGS PROOF-68 DEEP CAMEO Secure Holder." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more. This NCLT honored the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona and features women's basketball.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.

Specification: 10.37 g, 0.999 fine gold, .330 troy oz AGW.
