This specimen was lot 3732 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €650 (about US$853 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA, Volksrepublik. 100 Yuan 1990. Große Persönlichkeiten der Weltkultur. Huang Di. 10,38 g Feingold. GOLD. In Originaletui mit Originalzertifikat. Polierte Platte. (people's republic of China, one hundred yuan of 1990, great personalities of world culture, Huang Di. With original box and certificate, proof.)"

This NCLT is one of a series honoring great figures in Chinese history. Wikipedia comments, "The Yellow Emperor, also known as...Huangdi (/ˈhwɑːŋ ˈdiː/), is a mythical Chinese sovereign and culture hero included among the legendary Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, and an individual deity (shen) or part of the Five Regions Highest Deities (Chinese: 五方上帝; pinyin: Wǔfāng Shàngdì) in Chinese folk religion. Calculated by Jesuit missionaries, who based their work on various Chinese chronicles, ...Huangdi's traditional reign dates are 2697–2597 or 2698–2598 BC."
