Stack's Bowers September 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74295

This specimen was lot 74295 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Platinum 10 Yuan, 1990. Panda Series. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A flashy, nearly flawless example of this platinum issue with impressive proof surfaces." This denomination was also used for KM 269, KM 276, KM 282, 283, 291, 292, 293, 294, 300, 301, 302, 305, 306, 307, 308, KM 316 and 317, in silver, gold and platinum.

Recorded mintage: 4,500 proofs.

Specification: 3.11 g, 0.999 fine platinum, 0.10 troy oz APtW.
