This specimen was lot 23233 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Real, 1845-GC MP. Guadalupe y Calvo Mint. Republic. NGC VF-35. A seldom seen mint, this rather RARE minor has seen some use in circulation, but nevertheless presents problem free surfaces full of an old cabinet tone. The finest recorded for the date in the NGC census." This specimen was struck at the Guadalupe y Calvo mint in 1844, one of a type struck there 1844-51.
