This specimen was lot 31558 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. City Taler 1743 MS62 NGC. Obv. Two lions supporting arms of Zürich, Rev. City view of Zurich with date below. Silvery luster, with small areas of deeper gray patina on the obverse. Only a few light marks are noticeable. A very scarce two-year type and the single finest example of this issue certified by NGC or PCGS. From the Redwood Collection, Part II." This type was issued 1741 and 1743 only and is rather scarcer than the common Dav-1789.
