Sincona sale 102, lot 5675

This specimen was lot 5675 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$904 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton Taler 1741, Zürich. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1741, Zürich mint. About Extremely Fine.)"

This type was issued 1741 and 1743 only and is rather scarcer than the common Dav-1789.

Specification: 27.24 g, silver, 40 mm diameter, this specimen 27.28 g.
