Sincona sale 102, lot 5674

This specimen was lot 5674 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$791 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton Vierteldukat 1741, Zürich. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, quarter ducat of 1741, Zürich mint. About Uncirculated.)"

This scarce type was struck 1718-67 along with double (Fr-485a), half (Fr-487a) and single ducats (Fr-486a). In 1798, the canton of Zürich was forcibly incorporated into the Helvetic Republic.
