This specimen was lot 23609 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. 2 Reales, 1808-S CN. Seville Mint. Charles IV. NGC MS-64. A boldly struck and blast white example of the type, with great eye appeal. This is the last year of issue for Charles IV, who abdicated the throne in March." This type was issued at Seville and Madrid 1788-1808. Assayer CN is noted for 1792-1808. The minors, especially one and two reales, are much more common than the pesos.
