This specimen was lot 45554 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 2 Reales, 1808-So FJ. Santiago Mint. Ferdinand VII. NGC G-6. Type with 'FERDIN VII' legend." This scarce type was struck 1808-09, with the 1808 being much rarer than the 1809. The mintage shown below was shared with the two reales of Charles IV (KM 59).

Recorded mintage: 54,000 (including KM 59).

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.896 fine silver.
