Künker Auction 425, lot 2327

This specimen was lot 2327 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €3,500 (about US$496 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Friedrich August I., 1694-1733 (August der Starke). 1/4 Reichstaler 1696, Dresden. Äußerst selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus I, 1694-1733, quarter thaler of 1696, Dresden mint. Extremely rare in this condition, cabinet example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
