This specimen was lot 28914 in Heritage sale 3022 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $499.38. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nicholas II gold 10 Roubles 1899-AΓ, UNC Details - Mount removed, a nice example with an extremely light mount trace on the obverse." This type was struck 1898-1911 and is the most common of the ten rubles. Three assayers are recorded for this date.

Recorded mintage: 27,600,000 (all three assayers).

Specification: 8.60 g, 0.900 fine gold, .248 troy oz AGW, moneyer's initials on edge.
