This specimen was lot 40370 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $2,530. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Ruble, 1911-EB. NGC MS-64." This type was struck 1898-1911 in sufficient numbers as to be considered a bullion coin. At the time of issue 100 French gold francs = 37½ Russian gold rubles.

Recorded mintage: 50,000.

Specification: 8.60 g, 0.900 fine gold.
