This specimen was lot 40769 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $3,878. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Ruble, 1912-EB. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder. Struck to commemorate the centennial of Napoleon's defeat." In 1886, the ruble was reduced to 20 grams after having been fixed at 20.73 grams since 1798. This commemorative is rare.

Recorded mintage: 46,000 plus a few proofs.
