This specimen was lot 547 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 30 CHF (about US$41 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 5 Kopecks 1912, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB EB. Uncirculated. From the Soedermann Collection."
This type is listed for 1867-93 and 1901-14. The nineteenth century dates are scarce in nice condition but the later dates are common with, of course, the exception of the proofs. In 1914, Russia plunged into World War One, which conflict would lead to the destruction of the regime.
Recorded mintage: 3,000,000.
Specification: 0.90 g, 0.500 fine silver, this specimen 0.93 g.
