Stack's Bowers 2023 NYINC sale, lot 43357

This specimen was lot 43357 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopeks, 1877-CNB HI. St. Petersburg Mint. Alexander II. NGC MS-65." This type was struck 1867-1914 and is common. It is reduced in weight and fineness from the type of 1860-66. Proofs exist.

Recorded mintage: 2,090,000 (including assayer ΗФ).

Specification: 1.80 g, 0.500 fine silver.
