This specimen was lot 71465 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopeks, 1866. PCGS MS-66 Secure Holder. Type with mintmasters mark. Sharply struck with soft satin luster." This type was struck 1860-66 in large numbers and this is the most common date. In 1867, the weight was reduced to 1.80 g, 0.500 fine silver and struck in that form until the collapse of the regime. The later issues are much more common.

Recorded mintage: 2,533,000 with assayer's initials HФ (Nikolai Follendorf) and HI.

Specification: 2.07 g, 0.750 fine silver.
