Künker sale 353, lot 3976

This specimen was lot 3976 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €180 (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm III. 1797-1840. Taler 1810, A. Vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William III, 1797-1840, thaler of 1810. Extremely fine.)"

This type was issued 1809-16 at Berlin (shown here) and Düsseldorf and is common in worn condition.

Recorded mintage: 230,310.

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 55.06 g (sic).
