Jean Elsen sale 132, lot 601

This specimen was lot 601 in Jean Elsen sale 132 (Brussels, March 2017), where it sold for €65 (about US$82 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIE, ETATS PONTIFICAUX, Clément X (1670-1676), (Emelio Altieri), AR giulio, 1675, Rome. Année Sainte. D/ Armoiries. R/ La Porte Sainte murée. Coup sur la tranche. presque Très Beau. (Italy, Pontifical State, Clement X (1670-76), silver giulio of 1675, Rome mint, Holy Year. Obverse: arms; reverse: the Holy Door bricked up. Rim bump, about Very fine.)"

This giulio was issued in 1675 to honor the Holy Year. It accompanied several piastri (Dav-4080, -4081) and is fairly scarce.
