Künker sale 293, lot 2091

This specimen was lot 2091 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €4,000 (about US$5,391 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NORWEGEN, KÖNIGREICH, Christian IV. 1588-1648. 1/4 Speciedaler 1643, Christiania. RR Fast sehr schön. (kingdom of Norway, Christian IV, 1588-1648, quarter speciedaler of 1643, Oslo mint. Rare, about very fine.)"

This type was struck 1629-47 but is rare in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 7.31 g, 0.882 fine silver.
