This specimen was lot 11013 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €2,040 (about US$2,126). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. Skilling, 1644. Christiania mint. Christian IV. NGC MS-62. Stunning Mint State specimen. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1643-48 and is scarce. It was worth 1/96 of a specie daler. If the SCWC and Numista are correct, this coin is debased from the prior issue of 1641-42, which was 0.875 fine silver.
