This specimen was lot 11015 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €780 (about US$813). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. Mark, 1645. Christiania mint. Christian IV. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. A marvellous example of this popular type. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1644-47 and is scarce. It was worth one sixth of a specie daler. The motto, "·IUSTUS· יהוה ·IUDEX·", translates as "God is a righteous judge". Numista comments that these were lowered in value to 14 skilling by a proclamation of March 1648.
