This specimen was lot 1140 in Sincona sale 50 (Zürich, October 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Christian IV. 1588-1648. 8 Skilling 1642, Christiania. Feine Patina. Vorzüglich. (kingdom of Norway, Christian IV, 1588-1648, eight skilling of 1642, Christiana mint. Nice toning, Extremely fine.)"
The 8 skilling = half mark. This type was struck 1641-42 and is rare in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 17,000.
Specification: 2.39 g, 0.875 fine silver, this specimen 2.31 g.
