This type was struck in Mexico to honor the World Cup of soccer hosted in that country in 1986. Another 200 pesos, KM 526, was struck in silver that year along with gold 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 pesos. Altho fans in Mexico are as avid as in any other country, Mexico's team has never won.

Recorded mintage: 50,000,000.

Specification: copper-nickel, 29.5 mm diameter.
