This specimen was lot 43588 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1835-Ca AM. Chihuahua Mint. PCGS EF-40 Gold Shield. Scarce date. Lightly toned." The Chihuahua mint struck eight reales 1831-95. Many of the early dates are rare including this one.
