This specimen was struck at the Mexico City mint in 1827. This mint has struck silver and gold coins since 1535, with "cap and ray" one reales recorded for 1825-33, 1850-63. An overdate, 1827/6, is listed for the date. The issues of Mexico City, along with Zacatecas and Guanajuato, are generally considered common.
