This specimen was lot 41368 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 1/3 Taler, 1741-IBH. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg II August (George II of Great Britain). PCGS AU-58. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1737-60 and is common. It was equal to twelve mariengroschen, a denomination last coined in 1715. This is the only design used on this denomination in 1741.
