This specimen was lot 41366 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 1/6 Taler, 1720-C. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg Ludwig (George I of Great Britain). PCGS AU-55. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This denomination was struck simultaneously with four different designs: KM 108 (bust obverse, struck 1716-26), KM 109 (wild man, struck 1716-25), KM 143 (leaping stallion, struck 1719-27) and KM 144 (St. Andrew reverse, struck 1719-26). The first two are priced slightly higher than the last two. Four mariengroschen also exist.
