Künker sale 264, lot 4309

This specimen was lot 4309 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €220 (about US$284 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"3 Reichsmark 1930, F. Rheinlandräumung. Prachtexemplar. Herrliche Patina, Stempelglanz. (Germany, Weimar republic, three reichsmark of 1930, reoccupation of the Rhineland, handsome toning, uncirculated.)"

This type celebrating the reoccupation of the Rhineland was issued in 1930 from six mints. The proofs are rare.

Recorded mintage: 321,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 15 g, 0.500 fine silver, .239 troy oz ASW, 30 mm diameter.
