This specimen was lot 3049 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Weimar Republic, 5 rentenpfennig, 1924-F, Stuttgart mint, a fantastic example, PCGS graded MS66." This type was type struck 1923-24 in the aftermath of defeat and hyperinflation in World War One. This denomination was superseded by the five reichspfennig (KM 39) struck 1924-26, 1930 and 1935-36.
Recorded mintage: 29,032,000, a common date.
Specification: 2.5 g, aluminum bronze, 18 mm diameter.
