Steve Album Auction 53, lot 3013

This specimen was lot 3013 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Weimar Republic, AE 2 reichspfennig, 1924-A, a superb proof quality example! PCGS graded Proof 65 RD, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck 1924-25 and overlapped the 2 rentenpfennig (KM 31) of 1923-24, which used a very similar design. It is common, although the proofs are rare. The design was revived in 1936 by the Nazis.
