This specimen was lot 22420 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $110. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. 3 Mark, 1924-A. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder. An impressive survivor with thick, satiny luster and very few marks." This type was struck 1924-25 from all six mints.
Recorded mintage: 24,386,000, most common date.
Specification: 15 g, 0.500 fine silver, .239 troy oz ASW, 30 mm diameter.
