This issue, from the La Rochelle mint, is a rare issue of a type struck in France AN 12-14. A complete set of this type comprises 39 date and mintmark combinations, some very rare. In 1806 the French revolutionary calendar was dropped and normal AD dating resumed.

Specification: 23 mm diameter, 5 grams, 0.900 fine silver, decorated edge. Designed by Pierre Joseph Tiolier, 1763-1819.

Recorded Mintage: 7,149[1], 7,164[2].
