This specimen was lot 75367 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (1547-49). Bristol Mint. Edward VI. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, VF Details. Obverse: Crowned bust right; Reverse: Long cross fourchee. From the Richard August Collection." The early silver coinage of Edward was only 4 oz (0.333) fine. This was an early appearance of the portrait of the young king.
