This specimen was lot 10254 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €360 (about US$375). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Krone, 1668. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC Unc Details--Cleaned. Attractive coin with much original luster and sharp details. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922). Ex: Frederik C. Bech Collection (Copenhagen-1906/1907) Lot # 609." This example lacks mintmaster's initials and has rosettes dividing the obverse legend. This subtype was struck 1666-70. Other kroner for 1668 include KM 274/Dav-3581, KM 275/Dav-3581A, KM 299.1/Dav-3583 and KM 299.2. One krone was four mark or two-thirds of a speciedaler.
