Stack's Bowers 2026 ANA sale, lot 42150

This specimen was lot 42150 in Stack's Bowers Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction (Pittsburgh, September 2026), where it sold for $1,464. The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. 3 Mark (1/4 Ducat), 1668. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. PCGS AU-53. A SCARCE gold type struck to a fractional Ducat denomination, this example does exhibit some scattered wear, but nevertheless remains rather charming and pleasing." This type was struck in 1665 and 1668, the 1665 having mintmark GK.
