This specimen was lot 10307 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €240 (about US$250). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Krone, 1695-CW. Gluckstadt Mint. Christian V. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck in Gluckstadt 1694-96. The krone struck in Copenhagen had been revised in 1693 to reduce the weight and increase the purity (Dav-3648) but this was not done in Gluckstadt. Christian V was king of Denmark and duke of Schleswig-Holstein. One krone was four mark or two-thirds speciedaler.
