This type was struck for Cuba 1991-94, 2001-02 and 2012-13. This is the circulating type. The one peso denomination was used for a series of copper-nickel commemoratives including eleven different types for 1992.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 5.52 g, brass plated steel, 24.5 mm diameter, plain edge.
