Sedwick 38-1848r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1848 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 38 (Winter Park, FL, November 2025), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "CUBA, Havana mint, proof 20 pesos, 1992, 25th Anniversary of the Death of Che Guevara, NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo, "top pop," ex-Busto. Tied with three others for finest known in the NGC census. Nice frosted design details with deep mirror proof fields, vibrant blue and purple toning along some of the reverse edge. Pedigreed to the José O. Busto Collection." The year 1992 saw the release of many self-congratulatory NCLT's by the Cuban regime. Greeted by disinterest from the world at large, many are now rare.

Recorded mintage: 1,000 proofs.

Specification: 62.2 g, 0.999 fine silver, 45 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-532.
